School Governance Council Elections

Findley Oaks Elementary School will be electing representatives to serve on the School Governance Council.  We will be electing parent/guardian positions and a teacher position for our spring election.  Our School Governance Council has a leadership role in the governance of the school. The Council works with the principal in setting the long-term vision and strategy for the school. They are responsible for approving the school's strategic plan and budget recommendations, as well as designing innovative solutions to increase academic achievement and meet the unique needs of our school community.  

Elections for the parent/guardian and teacher positions on the School Governance Council will be held March 11th – March 18thCandidates interested in running for an elected position on the Council must complete a candidate declaration form and submit by February 20th.     

Candidate forms may be submitted electronically or by mail. You can obtain a copy of the form from the school's front office or by visiting the SGC website: https://www.fultonschools.org/Page/7358.

Parent Survey from the Georgia Department of Education

We need your help and feedback! It is time to complete the annual Georgia Parent Survey for this year.  This important survey is utilized as part of the calculation for our school climate rating which is reported with our CCRPI scores. Survey responses are anonymous and are submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. Please click here for the link to begin this quick survey. ​Volunteering at Findley Oaks

To keep in compliance with State Law and with best practices, we require that all persons interested in volunteering at Findley Oaks and in the Fulton County school district register or re-register (even if a person has completed an application in the past) by completing the new online volunteer registration and application process. Applicants should be prepared to spend about 10-15 minutes for the training and application process. Additionally, in accordance with State Law, all volunteers must be current with the Child Abuse Reporting Protocol Training before being allowed to volunteer in our schools.

Fill out all pertinent information. Once submitted, please allow 24 hours to process your application before being approved to volunteer​ at Findley Oaks.
