SB-10 In-District Transfer Application Process

As a provision of the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship Program (GSNSP), parents of students with disabilities who ​​receive special education services may choose to transfer their child to another public school in Fulton County. Parents can request a transfer to another public school as long as there is available space at that school and the school has a program with the services agreed to in the student's existing individualized education program.   Please click here for more information about the GSNSP in Fulton County schools and to access the online application form.  The application window is March 1-May 1, 2018.  Questions may be directed to the Services for Exceptional Children department at servicesforexceptionalchildren@fultonschools.org


Fulton County Schools Services for Exceptional Children Parent Mentors

Families of students with disabilities are invited  to attend the Annual Parent University on March 17, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Benjamin Banneker High School (6015 Feldwood Road College Park, Georgia 30349). ​School Governance Council Elections


Findley Oaks will be electing representatives to serve on the School Governance Council. We will be electing ONE parent/guardian position for our spring election. Our School Governance Council has a leadership role in the governance of the school. The Council works with the principal in setting the long-term vision and strategy for the school. They are responsible for approving the school’s strategic plan and budget recommendations, as well as designing innovative solutions to increase academic achievement and meet the unique needs of our school community. 

Elections for the parent/guardian and teacher positions on the School Governance Council will be held March 19th​-March 23rd. Click here to visit our SGC page for more information about our candidates and how you can prepare for elections!


​2018-2019 Registration

If you are interested in enrolling your student in Findley Oaks Pre-K for the 2018-2019 school year, click here​.

If you are interested in enrolling your student in Findley Oaks Kindergarten-5th grade​ for the 2018-2019 school year, click here. Only parent of NEW students (K-5) need to come to the school to register. It is not necessary for parents of currently enrolled students (Pre-K through 4th) to attend registration for the 2018-2019 school year.


​Volunteering at Findley Oaks

 The State of Georgia has implemented a law that includes all school volunteers "who interface with students" as mandated reporters of child abuse and neglect (HB 1176, Part V, Section 5-1). Fulton County Schools now requires all volunteers to be trained on the child abuse reporting protocol.​

Fill out all pertinent information and complete the online safety course. Once submitted, please allow 4​8 hours to process your application before volunteering at Findley Oaks.
