Carpool Safety Reminder

The safest way for students to arrive to school is via the school bus.

If you need to bring your student via carpool, please remember to help keep our students and staff safe in the carpool line as you drop your students off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. When dropping off in the morning please make sure your children exit the car from the right side only. The staff's priority is to get the students out of the car and have the cars proceed forward. Do not let your student out before the sign indicating the correct place. Thank you.

Parent Volunteer Registration must be completed for all of our classroom volunteers

To keep in compliance with State Law and best practices, for the 2016-2017 school year, we will require that all persons interested in volunteering in the Fulton County School District to re-register/register (even if a person has completed an application in the past) by completing the new online volunteer registration/application process. It is very important that volunteers enter their full legal name as it appears on their government issued ID (please do not use nicknames or “goes by” names on the application). All applicants must wait 24 hours after applying for application processing and approval. We love our volunteers! Please take a minute to complete this mandatory registration.

A Message From Dr. Stabler

Dear Parents,

Please accept our sincere thanks for allowing   us to work with your wonderful children this school year. It has been a pleasure to teach   and watch them learn. The staff and I will miss our 5th grade students as they move on    a new phase in their life. We wish them the best and I am sure that they will continue to make us proud. Many, many thanks to our  PTA, parent volunteers and business partners for their dedication and commitment to  Abbotts Hill Elementary. I would like to thank Mrs. Natalie Leak and Mr. CK Yau for serving on our School Governance Council. Their   continued support this year is invaluable.  Finally, please join me in congratulating      Cathy Hess, Deborah Benitez, Dawn Martin    and Connie Burke on their retirement. I appreciate their hard work and dedication to   the students over the years at Abbotts Hill Elementary School.

Have a Great Summer!

Between now and the end of school, I     will be giving you RELA, writing, math,   and technology activities that can help  your child continue to learn throughout   the summer. Research has stated that   over the summer children tend to forget   up to 30% of what they’ve learned during the school year. So, what can parents do   to keep that knowledge from fading?  Please look through the following  activities.

Please click below link for some Reading, Language Arts and Writing activities for     you and your child to work on over the long summer break. The activities are designed to   be fun and some that you and your family      can do together. Choose the ones that feel right    for you and your child, AND have fun!
