This year our Teacher of the Year is...........

Beth Reynolds

Congratulations Ms. Reynolds!

"It is my honor to represent Abbotts Hill ES as Teacher of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year. This is my sixth year teaching the Mild Intellectual (MI) class for grades K-2. Being a special education teacher has been rewarding because I am making a difference in the lives of my students and their families. I decided to focus on being a special education teacher when my son was diagnosed with Autism at a young age. I wanted to find a way to help families with children with disabilities to obtain the best care and education as possible. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. We like to travel, be outdoors and go to sporting events. "

The Professional Employee of the Year is............

Ted Wenum

Congratulations Mr. Ted!

"I was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and I have a large family of 6 brothers. A year after I was born we moved to Japan for 1 year. I have lived in North Carolina, South Carolina, and finally Georgia. My wife and I enjoy taking walks, playing tennis and traveling. I have worked at Abbotts Hill as a custodian since 2010. I am proud to be chosen as Abbotts Hill's Professional of the Year."

It is very important that volunteers enter their full legal name as it appears on their government issued ID (please do not use nicknames or “goes by” names on the application).
