Parent Candidates

Sanie (Nia) Cedrone

Hi, my name is Sanie Cedrone.  I am a proud mother of a first grader at Abbotts Hill Elementary School.  I am running for School Governance Council and I need your vote!  Since my child's enrollment at Abbotts Hill, I have taken on many different roles and responsibilities.  I am an active member of the PTA, which I joined in 2017.    Currently I serve as the PTA VP Hospitality Chairperson, Classroom Photographer and Healthy Habits Chairperson.  I was a Room Mom last year and am also serving in that roll again this year.   I played an active role in the 2019 Father Daughter Dance and will actively participate in the upcoming Staff Appreciation Week.  My level of involvement shows the passion I have for Abbotts Hill Elementary. I'm excited about the possibility of participating on the School Governance Council.   If elected I will bring the same level of participation, passion and drive to this council that I have brought to other activities at Abbotts Hill.    If I have earned your vote, please tell another parent at Abbotts Hill to help with my election and vote for me!  Thank You!

Veronique Wauters

My name is Véronique Wauters and I'm from Belgium. I am very excited about the possibility of being on the School Governance Council. In Belgium, I actively worked as a volunteer in school and was actively involved in after school programs. Currently, I work at the Dutch school as a Pre-K Teacher and am an active member of the Event Committee. I have a daughter in 3th grade who only spoke 10 words of English when we arrived at the end of July 2018.  But now with the help of the teachers she is starting to sound like a real American. By applying for the School Governance Council, I hope to make a difference because "Our Children are the Future."

Teacher Candidate

Mary Kathryn McCullars

I would like to declare candidacy for the teacher position on the School Governance Council. I have been a teacher for 22 years. 13 of those years have been at Abbotts Hill. Throughout my years of teaching I have taught multiple grade levels including Pre-K, 2nd, 4th, 5th, EIP and am currently teaching 3rd grade. I have served as a grade level chair many times and have mentored multiple teachers over the years.  Twice, during my teaching career I have been fortunate to have been nominated and received teacher of the year.  Currently, I serve as the Chattahoochee High School Cheer Board President and am actively involved in the community.  My husband Scott and I have raised all three of our children in this community.  We are proud to say they have been in our learning cluster all through the years leading to college for our older two and our youngest is a junior at Chattahoochee High School.  Currently, I am serving on the Student Governance Council as an appointed member, but I would like to continue serving on the SGC and being involved in the growth of Abbotts Hill.
