Welcome to the Campbell Elementary Media Center!

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss, I Can Read with My Eyes Shut

Accelerated Reader (AR)

Accelerated Reader is a reading program utilized by Campbell Elementary. Students select books based on reading levels and after reading the book, take a quiz to test their comprehension of the story.  In order to foster a love for reading and a sense of accomplishment, students are able to participate in the Dog Tag and Read around the World programs. Students can earn a dog tag by reading and passing the quiz for 2 books in an area of literature (for example, fantasy fiction and sports).

Check-Out Policy

  • Kindergarten and 1st Grade students are allowed to check out 1 book for a period of 1 week.
  • 2nd-5th Graders are allowed to check out 2 books for 2 weeks.

Lost/Damaged Book Policy

  • Students, teachers, and parents are responsible for any lost or damaged items.

About Me

I am very excited to be the new media specialist at Campbell Elementary. This is my 10th year in education and before becoming a media specialist, I was a Kindergarten teacher. I love to travel and of course, read!

Please stop by the media center to say hello to Mrs. Coley and I. We are always in need of volunteers and look forward to working with you.
