I am both humbled and excited to be the new principal of Dolvin Elementary School. It is an honor to be entrusted with this role; and I look forward to working with the staff, students, parents and community as we write the next chapter of this outstanding school’s story.
I was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and received my Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan. I spent the first half of my career working in Canada, Japan, and Korea, in teaching capacities before arriving in Georgia in 2003 to assume a teaching position in Cobb County. I then earned my Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia (Go Wolves!) and made the move to Fulton County four years ago as the Assistant Principal of Medlock Bridge Elementary School.
Currently, I live in Smyrna with my husband, Eddie (also an educator), and my rescue dog, Maggie. I am the proud step mother of Ayanna (18) and Ahmed (24).
I am eager to learn from the dedicated teachers, support staff, parents and volunteers who have created the exceptional school community of Dolvin, and to work as a team to determine where our school will go in the future. I am excited to begin this adventure and look forward to meeting and collaborating with you over the summer and into the new school year.
Your proud principal,
