Dear Dolvin Family,

Welcome to the Dolvin Elementary website and the 2017-2018 school year! I hope you will find helpful information about our school on this website. Dolvin Elementary is an excellent school and a fabulous place for learning. It is essential that we work together as a team to promote emotional and academic growth for all students.

I began my teaching career at Roswell North Elementary as a special education teacher, and it was in that capacity that I came to Dolvin. I have held various positions at Dolvin over the past years, including teacher, parent, Instructional Support Teacher and Assistant Principal. As I begin my eighth year as principal, I am delighted for the opportunity to work with you as we continue to work together.

We will be working on our new Strategic Plan this year. This is the work of our School Governance Council. Through lots of work and survey information, we will prepare a plan for the next several years. To see our current plan, visit the School Governance link on this website.

Every day at Dolvin, your child will experience new learning. We will continue using the Georgia Standards of Excellence. We strive daily to provide an engaging, supportive, and nurturing environment where students develop a love for learning and the very best instructional programs available.

Our supportive parental community is instrumental to our success. Your generosity helps make Dolvin a school of excellence. I encourage you to visit Dolvin, join the PTA and Foundation, and volunteer your time. Without the support of these organizations and their programs, Dolvin would not have so many unique programs and so much technology in place. It is my goal that together, we can continue to be a great place to teach and learn.

The Dolvin Diary is published each week with the latest upcoming Dolvin events and news. Please take time to stay informed. The Diary will be sent electronically each Thursday via School Messenger. Other important information will come home via Peachjar an electronic way to send home documents.

It is imperative to me that everyone who enters the doors of Dolvin feels at home and experiences the excitement and joy of learning. This year our theme is: #diveindolvin

As a faculty and as a community we will work to ensure that we continue to inspire your students and challenge ourselves as learners so that we can achieve greatness.

If I can ever be of assistance, please email or call me. It is through open, honest communication that we can accomplish more.
