Welcome to Dolvin Elementary School!

 Inspire. Challenge. Achieve.

Katie Colson, our Curriculum Support Teacher, has compiled some resources for parents and students to help you begin to prepare for the new Georgia Milestones Test in the Spring.  This test replaces the Criterion Referenced Curriculum Test (CRCT).  THe test will be given to all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students.  Take some time to explore these websites and practice at home.  See our Georgia Milestones resources.

For an overview of the Ga Milestones test, please watch this video

Dolvin Elementary will be electing new representatives to serve on the School Governance Council.  There is one parent/guardian position and one teacher position open for election this spring.  Our School Governance Council has a leadership role in the governance of the school. The Council works with the principal on the long-term vision and strategy for the school. They are responsible for approving the school's strategic plan and budget recommendations, as well as design innovative solutions to increase academic achievement and meet the unique needs of our school community. This past year, our Council worked diligently to develop our Strategic Plan, RFF, and Seed Fund.  All of our Council's actions were approved.

For the parent/guardian and teacher position on the School Governance Council will be held May 5th – 7th. Candidates interested in running for an elected position on the Council must complete a candidate declaration form and submit to the district office by April 28th!

Candidate forms may be submitted electronically (click here for access to form) or by mail (come to Dolvin's front office for a copy of the candidate form and submit per instructions on the form).  For information about our School Governance Council and elections, view our Dolvin SGC webpage.

At Dolvin, we encourage our students each day to be inspired and challenged by what they are learning and to work hard to exemplify our values.
