The Achievement Zone will design, coordinate, and implement research-based strategies to close the achievement gap between the Banneker cluster of schools and the district at large. In an effort to break the cycle of generational poverty, social inequity and make social justice a reality, we will remove barriers to dramatic school improvement and provide opportunity for every family to access a high quality education. With an understanding that our students are school dependent and what we do during the course of a school day matters, together we are changing the life trajectory of students!

Feldwood Elementary will create a data-driven school that focuses on high-academic student achievement and a learning environment that promotes a rigorous curriculum through STEM integration. This irreplaceable staff  of Feldwood Elementary collaboratively fulfils this purpose by engaging in data-driven instructional practices, differentiated and personalized experiences for all students, while concentrating on the well-being of the whole child. Feldwood Elementary' s staff understands that the investment in all student's educational journey will change their social-economic path, their access to college and career, and create a legacy for future generations.

At Feldwood Elementary School we strive to create a safe and secure learning environment through high learning expectations and collaboration between staff, parents, students, and the community. Our vision promotes a rigorous curriculum that fosters the development of responsible, caring, college, and career ready students, who are prepared to meet the challenges of culturally diverse technologically advanced global society.

Fulton County Schools Strategic Plan

This strategic plan is the roadmap for how Fulton County Schools aims to improve student achievement over the next five years.  Three goals serve as the district's measure for long-term student success:

90% of Fulton students will graduate
        on time.
85% of Fulton's seniors will be elgibile
for admission to a University System
        of Georgia college or university.
100% of Fulton's graduates will be
        work-ready certified.

This plan will only work when all parts of the community, staff, and stakeholders are aligned.  Our hope from this presentation is that you will walk away understanding our key commitment to children and how we plan to get there.
