Science Fair
To ALL 3rd-5th grade Parents; HFE will be holding a school science fair the week of February 21-24, 2012. The link below contains all the information you need in assisting your child for their Science Fair Project. This year we want students to be engaged, equipped and excited about Science! Also, it is very important to adhere to all assignment due dates and deadlines as it is a part of your child's science grade. Please encourage your child to produce quality work as we are looking for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. If you should have any questions please notify Mr. Hutton or your child's science teacher.

Technology Competition 2012:
Congratulations to Mitchell Davidson and Alex Gruenig for finishing 1st in Digital Video Editing for their age bracket. Their project, The Ten Commandments of Football, describes the dos and don’ts of a football with a little comedy twist. Next stop for these two, the State Technology Competition in Macon. Good luck, Mitchell and Alex!!!
Heards Ferry Digital Library:
Thanks to a magnanimous donation before the holiday we added many new books to our elibrary. This is very exciting because the Media Center will be closed over the summer, but OverDrive, like reading a good book, is year round!! Help us continue adding eBook titles so the children can download all kinds of different books no matter where they travel or what tree in the backyard they sit under all summer long. Your generous gifts make for generous selections!!
Cost of ebooks range from $7 to $23, the good news, their spines can never be broken! Donations can be given for specific titles. Please ask Mrs. Locke if your desired title is available for purchase. Make checks payable to Heards Ferry Elementary.
