Who?
Ison Springs Elementary School Local School Advisory Council (LSAC) consists of parents, the principal, teachers, community representatives, and businesspersons who work together in developing and implementing plans for school improvement.

What are the duties of the LSAC?
LSAC provides advice and recommendations to the school principal and the Fulton County Board of Education on matters related to the school’s continuous improvement.  The purpose of LSAC is to bring together parents and the school community in a spirit of cooperation to improve academic achievement and school wide endeavors.

Where?
Meetings are held quarterly at 7:30 a.m. in the Ison Springs Media Center and are always open to the public.

LSAC meetings are held, at least, 4 times a year at 7:30amET in the Ison Springs Media Center.  Look for the date in our “News from the Nest,” the Ison Springs weekly school newsletter!

How can I get involved?
All LSAC meetings are open to the public.  If you are interested in serving on the Council, elections will begin in September 2011.  Learn more about how to nominate yourself or others within September’s Parent VIP folder.
