PTA Welcome

Membership is open to anyone who believes in the mission and purposes of National Parent Teacher Association. Together we are a powerful voice for our children. With your help, we can continue to work toward PTA’s goal of a quality education and nurturing environment for every child.

PTA Mission: To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

PTA Values:

Who we are….

Our ISES PTA Board is a group of motivated, caring and team-oriented parents and teachers that focus on improving your child's school experience. Our mission is to encourage and support parents, students, school staff & the community to work together to share and implement programs and activities that benefit our children & school.

PTA works closely with the school administration to develop & execute school programs & activities. Our work is a collaborative effort that supports the school’s curriculum direction and motivates student & teacher spirit!

When you join PTA as a member, participate in PTA fundraising, or contribute a donation…it allows us to implement & fund some wonderful programs and activities. If you have not joined yet, please download a membership form here and return it to the front office.

What we do...

We have three functional program areas that foster the tie between school, home and community; Academic Enrichment, School Support and Family Program. Each program area facilitates its own activities, as shown below:

How we do it...

To operate successfully, you need resources. Our resources are, our parents and the money we raise as a non-profit. Our volunteers/ parents are invaluable! If you are interested in getting involved please contact a board member, and/or watch the Volunteer Video. Once the video is complete please print out the certificate and turn it in to the front desk.

Our Fundraising program has been streamlined to take the burden of too many fundraisers off of the parents, while still reaching our set goals. We have identified, with parent, student, and teacher input that we would like to see our additional funds raised go to the investment of an iPad Cart with 10 iPads. So this year we have set our goals to reach $8,700 in school appropriations. This has been identified in the budget under School support.

We raise funds through PTA memberships, used uniforms, spirit wear, box tops and our Fall & Spring fundraisers.

New requirements for school volunteers

Recently,  a revision of Georgia Law HB 1176, Part V, Section 5-1, declares that all volunteers at a school or school program will now be mandatory reporters.  The expected impact on FCS Child Abuse Reporting Protocol is that all school volunteers will now need to be trained in our Child Abuse Reporting Protocol beginning this school year.  The following link contains a  10 minute training on the new FCS Child Abuse Training Protocol:     Watch the Video

If you want to volunteer at Ison Springs, you can access this link by (1) coming to school and watching the video in our Parent Resource Room or (2) clicking on the link and watching the training video at home or on another computer.  At the end of the training you can print a Certificate of Completion or come to the school to sign the Volunteer Information Form.  If you have any questions, please contact Varenka Gomez del Campo or Martha Yazbak, Parent Liaisons, at 770-673-4020.   The sooner you comply with this requirement, the sooner you will be able to Volunteer!!
