Julie Morris, Principal

Mrs. Morris is beginning her 14th year as a Lake Windward ES Gator! She has a BS degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida State University and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. She also has ESOL and Talented and Gifted (TAG) Endorsements. Mrs. Morris started her teaching career in Orlando, Florida before transferring to Fulton County Schools in 2001. She taught third grade in FCS for eight years including two years as a third grade TAG cluster teacher before becoming Lake Windward ES's Curriculum Support Teacher. After enjoying three years as CST she transitioned into the role of Assistant Principal and, in 2015, she took over as Principal. 

Mrs. Morris is passionate about ensuring the highest quality of education for the students she serves. She believes that every child can learn, and enjoys working to support teachers, students and parents as we all strive to make Lake Windward ES the best place for students to learn and grow.

Mrs. Morris is married and has two sons as well as a sweet dog named Paddington. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, and cheering on the FSU Seminoles, but most of all she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.​​

Heather Farrar, Assistant Principal

Ms. Farrar received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Purdue University. She went on to get her Master of Arts degree in Administration and Supervision from DePaul University in Chicago.

Ms. Farrar has taught fourth and fifth grades in Texas, Illinois, and Georgia. She also spent two years as a District Math Specialist and was the Assistant Principal at Abraham Lincoln Elementary in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Ms. Farrar is a Midwestern girl who has fallen in love with Georgia.  She loves playing tennis and running, as well as watching her kids play sports.

Cindy Bailey, CST (Science and Math)

Mrs. Bailey holds a BS Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership both from Wayne State University in Michigan. She earned her Educational Specialist Degree in Teacher & Learning with an emphasis in Curriculum Studies from Georgia Southern University. Mrs. Bailey taught and coached at the middle and high school levels for 12 years in Michigan. She then moved to Florida where she taught middle school math for one year and was a high school assistant principal for two years. Finally, Mrs. Bailey moved to Johns Creek, Georgia were she taught middle school science and health for two years at Elkins Pointe M.S. before coming to Lake Windward E.S., where she has taught 4th grade math and science. Mrs. Bailey and her husband have four children, a lovable black lab dog, and a beautiful grand-daughter. In her spare time she loves to spend time at the lake, read, cook/bake, travel, and be with friends and family.

Sabrina Hill, Counselor

Hello!  My name is Sabrina Hill and this is my seventh year at Lake Windward Elementary!  I am thrilled to be part of the Lake Windward community.  My passion is working with children and their families.   I love cheering on the Dawgs and dining out with friends and family.  I'm looking forward to another great year!

Anne McKown, CST (Humanities)

Ms. McKown is from Marietta, GA.  She has a BS degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. She also has elementary math and reading endorsements.  She taught fourth grade in Nicholson, GA.  She then moved to Lake Windward where she taught fifth and third grade. 

In her spare time, Ms. McKown enjoys cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
