Hello, and welcome to the Manning Oaks clinic. My name is Pauline David and I am the clinic assistant covering the clinic every school day from 7:10am – 2:20pm. I have been fully trained by Student Health Services, and am supported by our Cluster Nurse, TracyLynn Wagner. A Cluster Nurse is a Registered Nurse who supports and oversees the running of multiple school clinics.
The clinic does not stock medications. If possible, medicine should be taken at home rather than at school. However, if medication must be taken at school, please complete the "Authorization to Give Medication at School" form. Send the medicine, in the original container, along with the authorization form to the school clinic for storage. This includes cough drops and ointments of any kind. Authorization forms for prescription medication must be signed by your physician. Medication is not carried over from school year to school year. Medications not picked up by 12:00 p.m. on the last day of school will be disposed of.
Please help us guard against the spread of germs by teaching your child to thoroughly wash his/her hands, to sneeze and cough into his/her elbow, to properly dispose of used tissues, to keep his/her fingers off of their face, and especially out of their mouth, and to stay home until "fever-free' (without the use of medicine) for 24 hours.
Please feel free to contact the clinic or our cluster nurse with any questions or concerns.
TracyLynn Wagner, RN, BSN – Certified Cluster Nurse
