It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself, Jennifer Rosenthall, as the new principal at Manning Oaks Elementary School. I welcome the opportunity to serve the MOE community and look forward to working with a dynamic staff, dedicated parents, and involved community members. I believe that every child has the right to learn and be challenged in the way that is appropriate for them as a person. It is our goal at Manning Oaks is to provide a learning environment that encourages independence, respect, and responsibility.
My journey as an educator began 18 years ago when I relocated from Massachusetts to Georgia. I served as a classroom teacher in both the general education and special education setting. I then embarked into a leadership role as an Instructional Support Teacher and later Assistant Principal. Having worked in the Northwest, Northeast, and Central Learning Communities of Fulton County I have had the benefit of a diverse set of learning experiences.
My proudest accomplishment of all is my beautiful family. I am the proud mother of two elementary aged boys and wife of an amazing husband. My family resides in Dunwoody where my boys are active in a variety of sports, chess, and other activities that keep us running in all directions. I am grateful for such a supportive husband that supports my work as an educator and parent.
As Principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. I believe deeply that the school and home must work hand in hand to help the students grow to their fullest potential. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any suggestions or concerns you might have. Please also take time to follow me on Twitter @moeprincipal to see notifications and celebrations of the great things happening in our building.
I have already learned that Manning Oaks is a remarkable and unique place to be. I look forward to the wonderful year ahead!
Jennifer Rosenthall, Principal
