Welcome Back to the Café at Medlock Bridge ES – Where Good Food Grows Healthy Minds
The Café at Medlock Bridge ES is excited to welcome back all students and staff, and is ready to serve safe and nutritious meals to all!
Thanks to new federal guidelines, school meals have received a makeover in the last few years, with schools across the district working hard to serve healthy and tasty food to your kids every day. Schools are now required to provide all components of a balanced plate, including whole grains, veggies, fruits, protein and dairy, as well as meet strict calorie, saturated fat and sodium targets. At Medlock Bridge ES, 100% of grains offered are whole grain-rich (even the crust on pizza and the breading on chicken nuggets is whole grain!), fresh fruit and fresh veggies are offered daily, as well as low fat and fat free milk!
