GEORGIA PARENT SURVEY

This is a great opportunity to share what's going well at our school!

Please take a few minutes to fill out the Georgia Parent survey about our school. Your feedback on this survey informs our school climate rating on the CCRPI. We are required to have at least 100 parents complete the survey. The survey contains 24 questions.   The survey data will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis.  Results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online.  The URL address for the Georgia Parent Survey is posted below.

Community meeting planned for new STEM-focused high school campus in North Fulton

Fulton County Schools invites parents and community members to a special March 28 meeting to provide input on its new STEM focused high school campus planned for North Fulton. The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the site of the former Milton High School (now called the Milton Center) in the building’s media center.

Scheduled to open by Fall 2020 on the site of the Milton Center, the building will host college and career-focused curriculum pathways with a focus in the areas of Engineering, Healthcare Science, and Information Technology. The community meeting will share information on STEM curriculum pathways and how they can be most beneficial in preparing students for their post-secondary options, whether it be through a two- or four-year college experience or through directly entering the workforce with specialized STEM skills. Earlier this month, as a first step in the engagement process, visioning workshops were held with school leaders, teachers, students, and industry experts in healthcare, information technology, and post-secondary educational institutions to discuss curriculum pathways and how the STEM campus can link the work of students to real world, project-based learning opportunities.

RFF-Request for Flexibility

Mountain Park’s School Governance Council is proposing to renew our Requests for Flexibility or RFFs for 2017-2020. The RFF proposals are public documents describing a school’s requested waiver(s) from district and/or state law or policy in order to implement a strategic effort within the school. Please see the slide below to view the Strategic Plan Initiatives and how the proposed RFFs support that work. Public comments are welcomed, and can be done at the school at the front table or emailed directly to the School Governance Council’s Parliamentarian and Secretary, Pamela Haight at haight@fultonschools.org.
