New Prospect has great readers!!  The Six Flags Read to Succeed contest is over.  We had 106 students earn FREE tickets to Six Flags amusement park.  Each student read at least 6 hours as evidenced by his/her reading logs.  Congratulations to Mrs. May's second grade classes, who had excellent participation (over 30 students!).

We have tech-savvy kids, too!  We are lucky to have Eshan Momin, and the team of Cayla Banke and Grace Boerner at our school.  They entered Fulton County's Media Festival held March 4, 2015.  Their projects included website development and a sequential stills presentation.  Well done!

Attention rising third and rising fourth graders who love to read!  Next month, we'll start ordering books for the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl 2015-2016.  This is the first time that New Prospect has participated.  The reading bowl is a reading competition; each school team will be comprised 10 team members; and will answer questions from specific fiction books.  The books have not been announced yet – more news will be available next month.
