Summer Reading

Dear Panthers,
All students are challenged to read every day this summer, for at least 15 to
30 minutes.
Suggested summer reading goals for students based on grade levels are:
 K-2 - students: 10 books
 3-5 - students: 8 chapter books
Students need strong reading skills in order to be successful at school and, later, in
the workplace. Research shows that students who read proficiently by the end
of third grade are more likely to be successful later in life. Students who fail to
meet this milestone falter in the later grades.
Research has found that when children leave the structured environment of the
classroom for summer break, many stop reading – and their reading abilities start
to slip. Strong readers plateau. Struggling readers fall even farther behind.
Enclosed are 3 options to keep your reading skills sharp this summer! Participate
to win an ice cream sundae celebration in September with Mrs. Nadir!
Access summer reading materials here.

Fulton County Schools Enrollment Online

Online Enrollment Parent Guide

Online Student Enrollment

Fulton County Schools is making it easier for parents of new students to complete their child's registration for enrollment into a Fulton County School. Parents can access the easy-to-complete, online form here. This option allows parents to control the data supplied for their student's enrollment and provide for more timely processing of the enrollment request. Parents can upload copies of the required supporting documents in .pdf, jpeg, and .tif formats. A list of required documents can be found here.  While this registration process will make it easier, parents will still need to bring their original to the school prior to the start of school. School personnel, must verify the authenticity of the documentation prior to enrollment being completed.   View Flyer here

Fridays are Spirit Day!

Show your school spirit every Friday by wearing your spirit wear t-shirts. If the entire class shows school pride by wearing any article of school spirit clothing OR school colors, their class gets 10 extra minutes of recess on Friday! You can buy your school spirit clothing at the front office.

NEEDED - Front Office Volunteers

If you are looking for a quick way to volunteer your time Amy Batley could use an extra pair of hands to help.  With the doorbell, phone and visitors all day it would be great even if you could help out for even an hour.  If you are interested send a quick email with the times and dates you can come in.  Batley@fultonschools.org
