Dear Parents,

My name is Amy Dyche, and I am so excited to be River Eves school counselor! I will be working with all students, grades Pre-K through 5 at River Eves. I am enthusiastic and passionate about my role as a counselor and strongly believe that all students deserve to feel a sense of belonging and connectedness at school. It has been my experience that when students feel connected, capable and that they have something to contribute, they become secure in themselves and are able to best reach their potential.

A little bit about me, I earned my Masters and Specialist in Education from the University of Florida in Counselor Education. I have worked in education for many years in many different roles. My favorite role and the role I have the most experience with has been as an elementary school counselor. I am also in the process of obtaining my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Certification.  I am married, have two children and the sweetest dog ever! My 12-year-old son and my 9-year-old daughter have probably given me the best training for my job and I love them dearly!

As a school counselor, my goal is to actively engage students in a comprehensive, data-driven program that supports the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. Additionally, my role at River Eves consists of but is not limited to working closely with your child by providing them with counseling services through individual sessions, small group, and classroom curriculum lessons on various topics ranging from school and study skills, dealing with difficult feelings, and future/career planning and awareness.

I am looking forward to our future conversations and collaborative efforts to help best support your child at River Eves. Please do not hesitate to contact me at dyche@fultonschools.org. Here’s to a great year!

Sincerely,

Amy Dyche, Ed. S.
