My name is Amanda Baldé and I can't wait to teach your child! I went to undergrad at Ashland University in Ohio. I received my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Religion. Shortly after graduating, I began teaching in the fall of 2004. After my first year of teaching, I married my husband Marwane and had my daughter Kyla. Then, I came to Sweet Apple, and had my second daughter Khadija. Believe it or not, I went back to school to get my graduate degree in Reading and Literacy with a one and two year old at home. Now I have a little boy to enjoy as well. I love my family, my church, and working out, and I look forward to working with you and your child this school year!

I grew up in the north Chicago suburbs with my parents and older sister. After graduating college I got married and moved to Atlanta. My husband and I have been married for 22 years and have two adorable boys. Ian is 13 and Grayson is 10. In my free time I love to read, garden, organize anything I can, and do outdoor activities with my family such as camping, hiking, and biking.
This is my 22nd year teaching and my 10th year in first grade. I love being a part of the Sweet Apple staff and community. It is such a wonderful place to work.
