Michelle Wallace, Exceptional Children-IRR Teacher   wallacem@fultonschools.org

My name is Michelle Wallace. I grew up in South Florida but have called the Atlanta area home for the past 16 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and a Master's degree in Education from the University of Florida.  I started teaching at Sweet Apple in 1999, but took a few years off to stay at home with my daughters, Dava, 7 and Nora, 2.   Special education has always been my passion. I enjoy working with students with different learning abilities and love watching my students succeed! When I am not at school or out with my family, you can find me hitting the gym or the tennis courts. I am so happy to be back working at my second home, Sweet Apple!

Rollins.jpgAlison Rollins, Speech Therapist   rollins@fultonschools.org   http://speechdept.weebly.com/

I am originally from Long Island, NY, but I moved to Marietta, GA while I was in high school.  I received my Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of West Georgia and my Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Montevallo.  I am a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, I have my Certificate of Clinical Competency, and I hold a Georgia license in speech pathology.  After spending some time working with middle school students, as well as elderly patients in the medical setting, I began working at Sweet Apple Elementary School in 2005.  I have an interest in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as children with challenging behaviors.  I also enjoy adapting materials and helping students with various communication needs.  I live in Woodstock with my husband, Clay, and our beautiful daughter, Katelyn.  In my spare time, I like to eat at Chick-fil-A, explore new iPad apps to use in speech therapy, shop at Target, and feed my Pinterest addiction!

Caban.JPGErica (Caban) Veres, Speech Therapist   cabane@fultonschools.org   http://speechdept.weebly.com/

I am a Pittsburgh, PA native; born and raised a Steeler fan.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences Disorders from Clarion University of PA and a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Pittsburgh.  I am a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), I have my Certificate of Clinical Competency, and I hold a Georgia license in speech pathology.  After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005, I moved to Georgia to start my career as a speech language pathologist at Sweet Apple and have been here ever since.  I have a passion for working with all students who have a communication need, and working at Sweet Apple certainly gives me the variety I love!  I live in Woodstock, GA with my husband, Steve, and two beautiful babies, Olivia and Adam.  As a family, we enjoy visiting family and friends in Pittsburgh, vacationing at the beach, boating, and watching Steeler football.
