  • Alpharetta High School’s Visual Arts Department hosted the North Fulton Portfolio Day. It was an event that enabled art students from across the county to showcase their art portfolios to some of the highest ranked art schools from around the country.
  • Alpha Speech scores 6 more State Bids!
  • Patrick Cusick to UNC Chapel Hill to swim.
  • Cal Swanson to St. Johns University to play Lacrosse.
  • Kathy Jackson will receive her PhD in Art with an Emphasis in Art Education at UGA, December 19th at the UGA Coliseum.
  • Over 1000 canned items will sent to North Fulton Charities. Mrs. Cawthon’s 3rd period class collect the most with a total of 440 cans! WOW!
  • Maria Hagen was recently awarded the Venturing Silver Award which is the equivalent to the Eagle Scout Award.






Celebrations & Highlights

  • On Saturday December 13th the AHS Band Program hosted The Georgia Music Educators Association District 5 for the first round of the All State Band auditions. We are pleased to announce the following 36 Raider Band members who passed the first round:  Will Barillas, Gloria Chan, Brent Chen, Nick Clark, Jackson Clement, Caleb Colburn, Shelby Conway, Megha Desai, Ryan Eberle, Anthony Elengickal, Joey Elengickal, Ido Erlitzki, Daniel Gelber, Haiwen Gui, Alison Heffron, Nate Herbst, Tory Heyerdahl, Evan Ketcham, Eddie Koh, Adam Kunis, Dylan LaPointe, Eun Lim, Aakash Malhotra, Maria Mendoza, Ismar Miniel, Olivia Palmer, Marshal Petit, David Ridley, Anna Roberts, Ananya Sundararaghavan, Eric Tam, Michael Tang, Izzie Vezeau, James Wilson, Carly Woodring, and Jessica Yi!

  • AHS Visual Arts Dept. Hosts Fulton County Portfolio Day 2014
  • AHS celebrates math teacher Lori Holland's chemotherapy treatment completion
  • Alpharetta High School’s SAT scores once again increased in all three areas: Critical Reading, Critical Writing and Critical Math! For the first time in our school’s history, our combined mean critical math, reading and writing score topped 1700 to 1704. This places AHS in an elite group of high schools in the district, state and nation!
  • The Alpha Speech Team was successful at their first tournament of the season at Riverside High. Congrats to Kelly Lumpkin, who won Humorous Interpretation and received a bid to compete at the NIETOC National Championship. Morgan Shields also received a NIETOC bid by placing 3rd in Original Oratory. In Duo Interpretation, Christina Nguyen and Suma Yellamraju finished 6th. In Novice Dramatic Interpretation, Lara Strydom placed 4th and Irene Velez, 5th. Logan Mahan and Tate Rehklau won Impromptu Duet Acting with Deja Holmes and Irene Velez finishing 6th. Aakash Malhotra won tenth place in Impromptu Speaking.
