Students transferring from another school to Banneker High School must be registered through the Guidance and Counseling office prior to their attendance.  
Required Documentation
To register a new student, the student's parent or legal guardian must register the student in person and bring the following documentation:

  • Proof of residency(two forms required)--acceptable documents include a current utility bill(water, power or gas) and rental or housing contract.  Telephone & cable bills are not accepted.
  • School academic records--transcript and/or report card
  • School discipline and attendance records
  • Immunization and ear, eye, dental records on Georgia form
  • Birth certificate
  • Social Security card
  • Legal guardianship papers
  • Notarized affidavit of residence form

Enrollment may be completed only by the student's biological parent(s) or a legal guardian.  Verification of guardianship must be presented at the time of enrollment.

To schedule an appointment
Appointments to register a new student should be made by calling the Guidance and Counseling Office at (770) 969-3414.  Appointments are highly encouraged however walk-in registrations are also welcome from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. and will be seen at the earliest convenience.

Summer Registration 
Summer registration for new students will be announced at the end of the school year. Check the website after school ends or call the Guidance Office for additional information.

Withdrawals
Parents must request a withdrawal in person and present valid GA driver’s license.  There is a 48 hour turn-around on all withdrawals received before 1:00 pm.  All financial obligations to the school must be met and all books returned before withdrawals are released.
