The Habit for Humanity Club is in its third year at Independence and continues to focus its efforts on building new homes and remodeling/refurbishing existing homes for economically challenged area residents.  Meetings are held the last Thursday of the month in     Room II 103.  For additional information regarding the organization, please see Mr. Eidizadeh, the club's faculty advisor.

The Cupcake Race, March 3, 2018 

Habitat for Humanity Club members Carlos Villanueva-Sanchez and Carlos Garcia were joined by IHS faculty and staff members Cynthia Paulsen, Tiffany Curren, Detra Burrell, Anna Holub-Standish, Linda Legros, Andrea Bailey, Penny Najar, Gaganjot Singh, Sara Allegood and club faculty advisor, Ahmad Eidizadeh for The Cupcake Race in Cumming, GA on Saturday, March 3.  This is the 6th year for the fundraising event to support Habitat for Humanity and Mr. E was pleased to report that this year's group representing Independence was the largest, ever.
