McClarin High School's Visual Arts program and its students, under the direction of Art Teacher, Tracey Hill have partnered with the City of College Park to redesign, and recreate the Mural on College Ave. Her students have spent months planning alongside City stakeholders proposing a vision for the images. We will gather every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon in September and October to produce the painting on the 20' long brick wall shared by McClarin Success Academy and the College Park Recreation Department. Please come out and join us.

On November 17th, 2015, eleven young ladies and twenty young men decided to stand together. This day did not encompass the typical “look to your left, now look to your right…some of you may not be here tomorrow” atmosphere. Instead, these Leading Ladies and Leading Men of McClarin students pledged today that they would exude the spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood among each other and among their peers in the midst of adversity as well as achievement.

Guided by the Mistress of Ceremony, Mrs. Saletria Cail, the Induction Ceremony consisted of a highly inspiring evening with motivational speeches covering the meaning of sisterhood, brotherhood, sorority, and fraternity. Included in this charge were the powerful men of the Eta Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., supporting and showing our young men and women exactly what brotherhood radiates. Led by Dr. Marquita Blades, Nicole Brown, Officer Derrick Henderson, Hopeton Knight, Kedric Sledge, and Arnold Smith, these 31 students will take the lead, stand tall, and display the true values of Respect, Excellence, and Perseverance in the form of brotherhood and sisterhood.

Digital Citizenship
Fulton County Schools is implementing a one-on-one device initiative. That's right!
In the effort to promote personalized learning and digital learning, each student will receive a technology tool to use at school and at home.
McClarin is in the process of preparing our students for this initiative with lessons on
digital citizenship. These lessons, along with other helpful resources, may be found in
the Common Sense Education Website.
