Georgia Milestones End of Course Test
We will be sending out a detailed schedule and transportation information regarding Milton's administration of the Georgia Milestone End of Course (EOC) tests. Information will be sent through school messenger, Constant Contact, the Milton website and other social media

Exam Exemption Policy

Milton High School is happy to offer students the ability to exempt their final exams as an academic incentive. Students will be notified the FRIDAY BEFORE THEIR TEST by their teacher if they are able to exempt their test or not. Below you will find the guidelines that determine if you are eligible to exempt a course:

  • No ISS or OSS during the 2017-2018 school year
  • 90+ average in the class you want to exempt - honors/AP points INCLUDED
  • End of course tests may not be exempted.


  • What grade levels can exempt?  All grade levels.
  • How many exams may be exempted?  As many as the student is eligible to exempt
  • Can I exempt an End of Course test?  No.  The EOC is a state mandated exam.
  • Can I exempt a semester exam in an AP course?  Only if you meet the eligibility requirements.

Parking at Milton High School
Only students with a displayed valid parking pass are allowed to park on campus. Students without a valid parking pass and/or not parked in their assigned space will be subject to tow.

Parents/visitors who park on campus must park in visitor parking (first two rows on the stadium side) and check in at the front desk. Failure to do so may result in being towed. No one is allowed to park their vehicle anywhere on campus for unofficial school business unless given permission by administration. Failure to get permission may result in your vehicle being towed.

2018-2019 Course Registration
Your student has recieved their second course verification form. If they have not yet turned in their form, please due so in office 1380.  Parents and students can click here to find important information and documents for the registration process. The Milton High School Course Offerings can be accessed from this page and should be referenced if you have any questions about courses at Milton High School next school year.

Online Course Request Process
Online Course Request process for the 2018-2019 School Year:
  1. Students interested in taking an on-line course as part of their regular Milton schedule must pick up an Online Course Contract located in rooms 1320 and 1340.
  2. Contracts must be completed and signed by both the parent and student.
  3. Once the contract is completed and signed, please turn it into the student's counselor.
  4. When the contract is received, the student must register for the course they have selected on either the Fulton Virtual or Georgia Virtual web site.
  5. Once the contract has been received and the student has registered for their online course(s), the student's counselor will approve or deny that request.
    • Approved requests will be placed on the student's schedule.
    • NOTE: counselor will not approve or deny courses until the Online Course Contract has been received.

Dual Enrollment for 2018-2019
Students interested in dual enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year:
  1. Pick up a Dual Enrollment Fulton County Contract from room 1340.
  2. Complete the form with both student and parent signatures and return to Dr. Higgins in room 1340.
  3. BY MARCH 30 turn into Dr. Higgins proof that you have submitted an application for enrollment to the university.
  4. BY MAY 24 turn into Dr. Higgins proof that you have been accepted to the university.
    • When proof of acceptance is turned in the student will receive a Student Participation Agreement and instructions for completing their on-line funding application.
  5. BY AUGUST 1 turn in copy of official college schedule to Dr. Higgins in room 1340.
    • When the official schedule is received the student's Milton schedule will be updated to reflect the college courses.

Eagle Pride 
The MHS Social Studies Dept. and AP U.S. Government and Politics classes had a successful voter registration drive this week. 128 students registered and received information regarding voting, polling places, and absentee ballots.
Milton Theatre Company was nominated for eleven Shuler Awards and won SIX for their production of CABARET! Congratulations to our students, staff and parents who were a part of the production!

Congratulations to the members of this year's Milton Indoor Drumline. After the best performance of the season in World Championship Semi-finals, the group missed finals by .037th of a point and placed 16th among the top Scholastic World Percussion groups in the world!

Congratulations to the Varsity Gymnastics Team on their 5th place finish at State Friday night! Incredible meet and Amazing athletes!

The Milton Boys track and Field team turned in a dominating performance at the Region 5 AAAAAAA Championship meet last Tuesday scoring 178 points to easily defeat defending champion Lambert and four other region foes. The team will send 11 individual qualifiers in 17 events plus two relay teams to the sectionals (pre-state) meet at McEachern High School next Saturday. Leading the way was senior Davis Smith, who won the 400M, 300M Hurdles, Long Jump, and also ran legs on the victorious 4 X 100 and 4 X 400 relays. Senior Solomon Vanhorse won the 100M, 200M and also ran legs on both relays. In the distance events, seniors Sam Bowers and Nicholas Yanek placed 1st and 2nd respectively in both the 1600M and 3200Mruns, and senior Ryan Beitzell took the victory in the 800M run. In the field events, junior Matthew Mazzacano won in the pole vault and set a new school record clearing a height of 15'2". Other qualifiers for the sectionals meet are Seniors DJ Albright (100M and 200M), Lucas Moore (Long Jump and 4 X 100)Eric Lee (Triple Jump)Dakota Warfield (Triple Jump), and Vince Graves (High Jump). Milton's girls also turned in some strong performances advancing six qualifiers in 9 events to the sectionals meet. Senior Annie Gallagher took the victories in the 800M and 1600M runs. Sophomore Nyah Hernandezwon the 3200M run and also advanced to sectionals in the 1600M. Other qualifiers were junior Taylor Cushman (3200M), senior Sophie Moore (Long Jump), senior Colleen Williams (Discus), and junior Amanda Sanchez (Shot Put and Discus).
