Based on the true story of conjoined twins, Daisy and Violet Hilton, Side Show is a beautiful musical about love,
acceptance and the importance of celebrating what makes us unique.
*Starring Milton seniors, Sara Underwood and Paige Underwood - superstar twin sisters!

Director Notes:
Set against the seedy backdrop of an early 1900’s freak-show, Side Show follows the journey of two, real life, conjoined twins, Daisy and Violet Hilton. Following World War I, America was on the upswing of the roaring 20’s. Airplanes, locomotives and automobiles ushered in a new era of opulence and glitz. While Ziegfeld created, never before seen, extravagance on Broadway, freak shows begrimed the midways of carnivals across America. Any lamentable condition became entertainment fodder for the hungry masses. When the stock market crashed in 1929, the entire country faced hard times and entertainment dollars dried up. Side show trains slogged through towns and eked out a miserable existence by showing audiences that there were always those who were less fortunate. The delicate underbelly of this show exposes the vulnerability in all of us. We are all freaks and we all have things, within us, that we consider repulsive. Ultimately, Side Show is about acceptance, perseverance and that the connection of love, whether physical or emotional, can overcome all obstacles.

Eagle Pride
Congratulations to the marching band for receiving bronze medal honors at this year's Bands of America Regional Competition in Cobb County! Bands of America is the highest level of competition in the United States, and this is only the 4th time in school history the band has been named a finalist, and the 2nd time placing in the top three (among some of the finest marching bands from the southeast).
Milton High School hosted the Fulton County Cross Country Championships for the 6th straight year and came away with their 11th Best Overall Program Award winning 5 out of 6 team races as defending state champion Sam Bowers repeated as county champion besting his own course record by 20 seconds.
Congratulations to the Milton High School Coed Competition Teams for both winning their divisions at the Houston County Invitational. Next week the teams will be competing at Lambert High School. We invite all friends and family to come support the Competition Teams.
