Like the past, teachers will make course recommendations for core classes (Math, Science, Social Studies, English & Language Arts). More detailed instructions for the registration process will be released as we get closer to the registration window.

  • please complete the Schedule Change Request Form (we are unable to honor requests that are submitted via email or telephone/voicemail).
  • Forms require a parent signature and will available on the MHS website and in Counseling Suites 1320 and 1340 during the schedule change period.

Important notes regarding schedule change requests: The schedule change period is from January 6 - January 17. All schedule changes are based on class availability. Academic class changes will be considered for students who receive a grade of 73% or below. Contact your Counselor for options.  Milton Close Up Information

We would like to share with you an exciting opportunity that we are offering students for the 2020-2021 school year. During the week of January 17th, 2021, Milton teachers will lead a group of Milton students for a hands-on study visit to our nation's capital.

Our trip this year is scheduled for January 17 – January 23, 2021. This week-long program gives students the opportunity to experience their government in action and gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to be informed, engaged citizens. The students will miss school days that are considered excused absences.

The all-inclusive program cost for each student this year is $2,624, and includes instruction, airfare & travel, expenses, meals, and lodging. Any Junior or Senior who is interested in government, history, current issues, or politics is welcome and encouraged to attend. All payments are made online and can be made in any increment at any time prior to the trip. An initial $600 deposit is required to reserve the student's spot on the trip. The deposit is due by 6/1/20 and is non-refundable.

You can also visit http://www.closeup.org for more information.

We will be holding an informational meeting on Thursday, January 23rd at 6:30pm in room 4308 at Milton High School; where we can go over the trip in more detail and address questions.

Please feel free to contact either Elizabeth Alfano (AlfanoE@fultonschools.org) or David Lakin (Lakin1@fultonschools.org). Included is a link (https://elizabetha90.wixsite.com/mhscloseupdctrip2020) to the Milton website for more trip information. We hope your student will be able to be a part of this exciting opportunity!

Sincerely,

Milton Close Up
