Congrats former College Guard and D3 All American, AP Kevin Rogers who was honored Saturday during half time at his alma mater Emory & Henry College in Virginia, for his selection into E&H Sports Hall of Fame! Mr. Rogers earned a BA in History and Social Studies in 4yrs at E&H, a Masters in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech where he was an assistant football coach and Specialist in Education certification from Jacksonville State in Ala. Way to go Mr. Rogers!!    


Congrats to Teacher of the Week Coach B!  

Coach B.jpgNew Spartan Social Studies teacher and X Country coach Rob Blaszkiewicz is this week's TOTW! "He has jumped in with both feet, leading his PLC, helping mentor young teachers and coaching Cross Country. He is a team player who has quickly developed a rapport with his students and a reputation for his willingness to help them achieve success."  Coach B holds an undergrad degree in poly sci and journalism from George Washington U and a Masters in education from UGA.  He and his wife will soon be moving from the Old Fourth Ward to SS! Welcome to Sparta Mr. Blaszkiewicz!

Mrs. Trawick.jpgCongrats to Tiffiani Trawick nominated by Language Arts as "unbelievably positive, optimistic, and helpful - jumping in with both feet as the new Freshmen Academy's Study Skills teacher. Ms. Trawick is working on her masters in education at Georgia State, having taught for 7 years in Columbus, Ga. after graduating from Columbus State with a degree in English! She'll be passing her golden Spartan trophy on to another deserving teacher next week. Welcome to Sparta and well done Ms. Trawick.

IMG_8847.JPG Recently, Graphic Design teacher Cam Lupiani and Art teacher John Gresens were honored at a special luncheon in their honor at The Art Institute of Atlanta.  Each receieved a big check for classrooms supplies thanks to AdoptAClassroom.org. The luncheon was preceded by a special tour and activities for North Springs art and design students, faculty and guests.
