The purpose of the School Governance Council is to provide parents, school staff, and community members with a leadership role in the management of the school. The School Governance Council is a governing body that is representative of the community and the school but operates under the control and management of the Board of Education.
Mission Statement for Northview SGC:
We are a representative group of students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community members who meet regularly in an open forum to support Northview High School's mission to achieve success for all.
Our focuses include:
- Managing the school's strategic plan
- Supporting and creating innovative ideas to further the school's mission
- Addressing conflicts and issues coming from any of the representative bodies that impact the school
- Offering representative voices to the principal in decision-making
