The Riverwood Community and Business Partnership Portal is the bridge between the local community and the  School. This portal is designed to help the community become more involved with the school and for the staff at the school to have a database of interested community members.  Please look through the areas of need listed below and sign up to learn more about these fantastic opportunities.

School/Business Partnerships are a collaborative relationship designed to impact student achievement.  It is a one year commitment that can be renewed annually, with the goal of developing a structured plan aligned with school and business goals.

Guest Lecturers make a significant contribution to the study of any subject bringing not only expertise but authenticity into the classroom and often serve as an inspiration to students with similar interests.  Career speakers can come from almost any background and represent any concentration area.

Student Internships add value to the educational environment. Students have the opportunity to apply for internships through the Youth Apprenticeship Program and the Talented and Gifted Department. These are paid and unpaid positions at local businesses which require five to twelve hours per week.

Project Mentors are sponsors that work collaboratively with students to empower them for a lifetime of success through strong mentoring relationships. The goal is to focus on the assets required to improve academic performance and high school graduation using a positive adult role model.

SAIL (Seniors Achieving In Life) - During the month of February, volunteers are trained to help seniors who do not have college plans get on track. In cooperation with the Sandy Springs Education Force, SAIL pairs students and volunteers for one-on-one assistance, pays college application fees, and celebrates their success. Volunteers must be available at least one hour per week between the hours of 11am and 2pm. Knowledge of the college application process is helpful, but not required.
