​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Many Colleges and Universities send representatives to Riverwood to present information sessions to Juniors and Seniors.  The majority of these visits occur during September and October. A comprehensive listing of schools, with dates and times, is updated daily in Naviance, as well as on this page. Additionally, a listing of College Fairs and Open Houses and other special programs (see below College Visits) offered throughout the year appear both here and in Naviance. The list is updated frequently as college representatives schedule visits.

On Campus College Session Sign Up Procedure
For all college presentations scheduled during school hours, students must:

     *Sign up online in Naviance at least 3 days prior to the scheduled visit
          Select the "Colleges" tab at the top of the page
          Select "Upcoming College Events" and "View All Upcoming Events"
          Sign up for the college session(s)
     *A Counseling Center Office Aide will deliver the Pass(es) to the student
          If a student successfully signs up for a college session and does not receive a pass, please come to the Counseling Center to pick it up
     *For each class the student will miss while attending the session(s), the student must have each teacher sign the pass
     *Bring the completed pass to the College/Career Center at the time of the scheduled presentation(s)

​Off Campus College Visits
Students may have as many as three (3) college visits per year count as excused absences by taking the following steps:

  • PRIOR to the visit, pick up a college visit form from the Counseling Center
  • PRIOR to the visit, have all seven (7) teachers sign the form
  • PRIOR to the visit, obtain the student's counselor's signature
  • PRIOR to the visit, obtain the student's parent's signature
  • DURING the visit, have a college admissions officer sign the form
  • FOLLOWING the visit, turn the completed form into the Riverwood Attendance Clerk
