Prelude to Graduation Sunday, May 20, 2018
Auditorium, 5pm
For the families and friends of the Class of 2017. Sponsored by the PTSA, Prelude to Graduation is a nice kick-off to Senior Week activities and provides an opportunity for reflection. A reception follows. Seniors, please meet in the Media Center at 4:30pm.

Senior Clearance Tuesday, May 22, 2018
Tournament Gym, 9am-Noon
All graduating seniors must clear outstanding debts and obligations before being allowed to participate in graduation practice. This includes returning books and equipment and paying any fines and fees. Please note that all payments must be made in cash -- checks will not be accepted. Students will report to the upstairs track of the Tournament Gym using the following schedule:
                Last name A-C, 9am
                D-H, 9:30am
                I-M, 10am
                N-S, & students with IB/AP testing conflicts, 10:30am
                T-Z, 11am
                         
Graduation Practice Wednesday, May 23, 2018
Auxiliary Gym, 8:20am
Graduation practice begins promptly at 8:20am Wednesday, May 23 in the Auxiliary Gym. Dress code for the graduation practice is as follows and will be enforced:
     ONLY Jeans or slacks/pants (no holes or frays; no sweats)
     ONLY T-shirts or shirts with sleeves o (no off‐shoulder)
     No Sagging Pants
     No Shorts
     No tank tops, thin straps, or halters
     No bare midriffs or shredded clothing
     No inappropriate sayings or symbols
     No hats, caps, scarfs, bandanas, or any type of headcoverings
          (except those worn for religious reasons) 
Students dressed inappropriately will be asked to leave the graduation practice and, time permitting, may be allowed to change clothes and return to the practice. Participation in graduation practice is mandatory to be able to participate in the graduation ceremony. Students are welcome to bring clothes to change into for the picnic, but school dress code still applies. Only students involved in IB or AP testing during the graduation practice are exempt from graduation practice.

Graduation Ceremony, Thursday, May 24, 2018
Cobb Energy Centre, 3pm​
Seniors must arrive at the Cobb Energy Centre by 1pm.​



Gown Return and Diploma Pick Up Date Tuesday, May 29, 2018
9-11:30am
Seniors may pick up their diplomas when they return their gown 
to the school. Report to the main lobby of the new building following the schedule below:
Last Name begins with 
     A-C:  9am
     D-H:  9:30am
     I-M:  10am
     N-S:  10:30am 
     T-Z:  11am
Gown return/diploma pick up closes at 11:30am. Students who cannot attend the exchange may come to the school during summer office hours


​​​Important News for Seniors from the Counseling Center​


Transcript Requests for Graduating Seniors
Most students will use Parchment to request final transcripts. Remember to use the "Hold for Grades" option 
Parchment.com 


For students who applied to a school using the Common Application, please request the final transcript through your counselor. The counselor will upload the transcript directly to the Common App.

 ​
Please take care of requesting final transcripts as soon as possible. During the summer, the counseling center will only process requests once each week beginning June 7, 2018.



Update College Acceptances and Scholarship Offers
Seniors, remember to let Mrs. Garber know about ALL college acceptances and scholarship offers received -- even from schools you do not plan to attend.  Check the College Acceptances map on the bulletin board outside the Counseling Center to see where members of the Class of 2018 are being accepted.​​
