Attention Students! If you were in an AP class last semester and dropped the class 2nd semester but plan to take the AP exam in May, please see Mrs Bright in the AP Office to sign up for the exam. We need this information to order an exam for you, if you plan to take the exam but dropped the course at the end of the 1st semester. Any questions, please see Mr Coyle.
Did you know that 300,000 people are at risk for being trafficked annually? Victims aren't just runaways, they could be your next door neighbor. Human trafficking is a $40 Billion dollar business, and it needs to end. If you are interested in learning about the human trafficking crisis, join Interact on Feb. 7, at 7:40 am in the auditorium, as we hear Dave McCleary, the founder of the nationally recognized End Human Trafficking campaign, speak. Doors will open at 7:40, and the discussion will begin at 7:45. Light refreshments will be served after. All are welcome.
RE: 17th Annual FCS Technology CompetitionThe 17th Annual FCS Technology Competition was held this past Saturday, January 27, at Westlake High School.Hundreds of students participated in this great event which highlights many tech-savvy students at Fulton County Schools.CONGRATULATIONS to three of our Roswell High School students who competed and won the following awards.Joshua Alan Davis, Grade 10, competed in the Mobile Apps category. Joshua won the First Place Award and will now compete at the State of Georgia Technology Competition in Macon on March 10, 2018.Rohan Gandhi, Grade 10, competed in the Project Programming category. Rohan won the Second Place Award for his great presentation.Shruti Vedula, Grade 10, competed in the Graphic Design category. Shruti won the Second Place Award for her great presentation.Again, CONGRATULATIONS to these outstanding RHS “Techie” WINNERS at the FCS Technology Competition!Thanks so much!
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be administered the 21st of March 2018 in the Auditorium. Students interested must sign up prior to the test and be in the Auditorium by 8:00am on the 21st of March. The ASVAB is an excellent career exploration test that will help students link their skills & aptitudes with related occupations. Anyone can take it for career identification purposes without obligation to the armed services. If you are interested in going into the military the ASVAB is required to be admitted in the military.It is administered to students FREE of charge. Look for flyers starting in March or see Lieutenant Colonel Duplechien in Portable 5. Ask about how to prepare.
