Theatre Troupe tomorrow features the best and most fun workshops from Thespian Conference 2017. All are welcome to attend and explore what happened during the best three days of high school theatre in the state from 3:45 to 4:45 in the Auditorium.
Attention Seniors: Please check the spelling of your name on the list outside of Student Services. This is the way your name WILL be spelled on your diploma so if there is a mistake let student services know ASAP (NOW).
Monday- The RAK club is proud to announce that this week is the Random Acts of Kindness Week all over the world. RAK wants to celebrate with lots of random giveaways! Remember that "kindness is a reflection of who you are."

Students, in honor of CTAE Month, the school store will be having a "Snack Sale" next week, Monday thru Thursday (no school Friday - yay!). So please stop by to pick up your favorite snacks for HALF PRICE! Regular chips will be 2 for $1 - Miss Vickies will be 2 for $1.50; and all candy will be 5 pcs. for $1! The school store is open each day from 7:45-8:15 before school, so don't forget to stop by when you get off the bus! Rack up on snacks and help support the career tech department!
Any art student that is interested in taking AP studio art next year needs to come by the art office on a hall this week and next to sign up for portfolio reviews. We offer a Drawing, 2D, and 3D design portfolio. Stop by and sign up.
On the morning of February 22nd RHS will host a mini college fair for students in 10th and 11th grade. 15 different schools will be in the auditorium - including Auburn, LSU, Ohio State, University of Tennessee and Coastal Georgia. After the presentation you'll have the opportunity to talk with each school. In order to attend you must sign up through Student Services.
Once again, the Georgia Department of Education has opened the End of Course (EOC) Test Out window. The test out is an opportunity for students to take the EOC in a course of study and earn course credit. The test out opportunity will take place between Wednesday, March 15 and Friday, March 17, 2017. There is a fee of $50 for the test out, which is refunded if the student passes and receives a "Distinguished Learner." The test out form and fee is due on Friday, February 24, 2017. There are some significant restrictions that apply to the test out opportunity, so please consult your child's counselor for more information, if interested. Seniors! Do you want to play in the annual Senior Faculty Basketball game? Interest forms to be considered for this year's Harbin Classic team, will be available outside Mrs. Hartigan's room H110, from today until Thursday Feb 9th. All forms are due back by FRIDAY February 10th. No exceptions.
Students- if you are planning to participate in Move On When Ready next year- which means you are a rising 10th-12th grader who plans on taking any college courses at Roswell or on the college campus, please come by Student Services to pick up the required paperwork packet. This includes students planning to do College English, Ga Tech math, and any other college courses for high school students. Please see your counselor if you have question.
The Hornet Battalion's annual Military Ball tickets are going on sale January 30th. Ticket Prices start at $40. Deadline to purchase tickets are February 17 then prices go up by $5 each week. If you sold 10 or more cheese cakes your ticket has already been paid for. Cadets please remember Military Ball is a mandatory event.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) is inviting 9th and 10th grade students to participate in their Ready to Lead (R2L) Atlanta event which will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Georgia State University from 8 am. to 3:30 p.m. The event will consist of college planning and readiness workshops, leadership development, and a mentoring session with local community leaders and professionals. Applications for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's summer high school program R2LNextGen, are now available online! R2LNextGen is a week-long leadership and civic engagement program for current high school juniors. The program, which takes place July 23-July 28, 2017 in Washington, D.C., is completely FREE of charge to all selected student participants. Congratulations to Cory Hall and Cole Anderson for representing Roswell in the state wrestling tournament in Macon this weekend. Special kudos to sensational freshman David Cartier for placing 4th in the state at 120lbs.
All wrestlers should return all uniforms this week to Coach Bradach.
