The Roswell Robotics team won the Circuit Runners FIRST Tech Challenge qualifier on Saturday. The team beat a field of 32 other teams and earned a spot to compete at the Georgia FIRST Tech Challenge State Championship on February 18th. Congratulations to the Robotics team!
Come join the Furkids Animal Rescue Club Tuesday at 7:30 am in Ms. Rufolo's room, E102, to help finish the PVC pipe project for the shelter dogs. All are welcome.

The Roswell Percussion Ensemble will holding a concert on Tuesday at 7 pm in the Auditorium to showcase their talents for acceptance to perform at 2017 GEORGIA MUSIC EDUCATORS CONFERENCE. They were selected out of 100 groups who applied. So please come and show some love to YOUR Percussion Ensemble!

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) is inviting 9th and 10th grade students to participate in their Ready to Lead (R2L) Atlanta event which will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Georgia State University from 8 am. to 3:30 p.m. The event will consist of college planning and readiness workshops, leadership development, and a mentoring session with local community leaders and professionals. Applications for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's summer high school program R2LNextGen, are now available online! R2LNextGen is a week-long leadership and civic engagement program for current high school juniors. The program, which takes place July 23-July 28, 2017 in Washington, D.C., is completely FREE of charge to all selected student participants. Attention all students currently taking AP classes. The AP Bulletins were distributed last week in class. If you did not receive an AP Bulletin please stop by the Student Services office to obtain one. This bulletin has very important information regarding AP exams.
Attention students – If you have a parking space on campus you will lose your on campus parking privileges after 7 unexcused tardies to school. This is for the school year and does not reset at the end of the semester. If you exceed the 7 unexcused tardy limit, you will lose your parking space.
The African American Culture Club will meet Monday, Jan. 23 after school in G122.
The Interact Club is collecting supplies and letters for the platoon of Roswell High School alumni, Harrison Florence, Class of 2010. He graduated from West Point in 2014. Second Lieutenant Florence is currently deployed at Camp Humphreys in the Korean Theatre of Operations and serving as the Attack Platoon Leader of Bravo Company, 4-2 Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade. Please bring hand-written letters for Harrison and his platoon and the following supplies: sugarless chewing gum, energy bars, small packages of coffee, throat lozenges, lip balm, beef jerky, paper, pens, envelopes and all types of toiletries to Coach Chrzanowski's room F108 and place in the box. Please help us honor one of our own by bringing in these supplies and letters no later than Friday, January 27.
The school store has a new location! We are now in the auditorium concession area and are open every morning from 7:45-8:15.
Congrats to the Varsity boys for another region win over Cherokee Friday night in the Nest. Thanks to all the Rowdeez for coming out too. The Varsity Boys are now ranked #10 in state and remain on top on the region. They head to Walton tomorrow night.
Congratulations to the wrestling team on their 8th place finish at the North Metro Invitational tournament at Brookwood this weekend. Cole Anderson and Grant Whiteman were the top Hornet finishers, each placing 2nd. Come watch the team this Wednesday as they take on Cambridge at Home at 6pm.
The Roswell rifle team won the match with Duluth with a score of 1098 (Roswell) to 1064 (Duluth). Our top shooter and the match top shooter was Samantha Brioso with a score of 278, only one point behind with a 277 was Janae Belk earning the match 2nd best score.
All tennis forms are due by Jan. 20th and boys try outs have been moved to Monday Jan. 23rd – Wednesday Jan. 25th from 4-6 here at RHS.
