The Hornet Battalion's annual Military Ball tickets are going on sale January 30th. Ticket Prices start at $40. Deadline to purchase tickets are February 17 then prices go up by $5 each week. If you sold 10 or more cheese cakes your ticket has already been paid for. Cadets please remember Military Ball is a mandatory event.
Attention students interested in Auditions for Short Attention Span Theatre, auditions are Monday and Tuesday, January 30 and 31, in the RHS Auditorium, from 3:45 to 5:45 each day. Students seeking roles will need to do cold reading from scripts with the possibility of a little improvisation, and please bring your personal calendar so that you can provide your availability information to the directors. Auditionees may attend either day, but both are not required. Casts will be posted the morning of Wednesday, February 1st, on the front doors of the Auditorium.

Balfour will be here Tuesday, January 31st during the lunches to take orders for Graduation Announcements and Caps and Gowns. Cap and Gown orders are $55.00. Also any student who would like to order a Letter Jacket should bring their letter and $100.00 deposit.
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) is inviting 9th and 10th grade students to participate in their Ready to Lead (R2L) Atlanta event which will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Georgia State University from 8 am. to 3:30 p.m. The event will consist of college planning and readiness workshops, leadership development, and a mentoring session with local community leaders and professionals. Applications for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's summer high school program R2LNextGen, are now available online! R2LNextGen is a week-long leadership and civic engagement program for current high school juniors. The program, which takes place July 23-July 28, 2017 in Washington, D.C., is completely FREE of charge to all selected student participants. The school store has a new location! We are now in the auditorium concession area and are open every morning from 7:45-8:15.
Congratulations to the wrestling team for their victory over Cambridge last night 40-28. Come support the team this Saturday at 9am as we host the traditional region tournament at Roswell.
The Varsity boys took their 18th win at Walton to stay undefeated in the Region and secure a spot in the state tournament. The Hornets travel to Etowah this Friday, then return home to the Nest next week before the region tournament.
Congratulations to the Lady hornets for a region win over Walton. Kasey Cwalina had a game high 22 points to help the hornets seal the win.
