Good morning students! Today is the start of National School Breakfast Week! Start your day with a healthy and nutritious school breakfast! Every day you eat school breakfast you will be automatically entered for a chance to win the grand prize which will be announced on Thursday! Increase your chance to win by joining the café each day!
Congratulations to the RHS debate team on their February tournament. Out of 80 competitors, Kelemen Szabo placed 11th as Zenobia Sarkari placed 6th. Congrats!
Attention Juniors and Seniors:
You will be receiving an invitation to prom in your English classes. This is not a ticket. Tickets are on sale online at Gofan.co
Tickets are $65 for those who have paid class dues and $70 for those who have not. If you would prefer to purchase tickets in person with cash or a check, they will be available today, Tuesday, and Wednesday during all lunches. If you are taking a guest from another school, please get a guest form from the front office and complete it. They can be turned in to the concession stand during lunches Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday or may be dropped off in H110 at any time.
Attention all students attending the Skills USA State Competition. There will be a mandatory meeting in AA21 (Ms. Kennedy room) on Tuesday March 7 that 8:00 am. Please make sure you attend.
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Testing (ASVAB).
The ASVAB will be given March 28, 2017 at 8:00 am. (Location depends on how many students sign up). The ASVAB is an excellent career exploration test that will help students link their skills & aptitudes with related occupations. Anyone can take it for career identification purposes without obligation to the armed services. If you are interested in going into the military the ASVAB is required to be admitted in the military. It will be administered to students FREE of charge. Recommended for juniors & seniors!
Look for the flyers around the school and scan the QR code to sign up on google forms or the email to send your name and graduation date.
Summer School Information is now available in Student Services. Registration for online courses has begun for Fulton and Georgia Virtual School and Face-to-Face courses held on the Roswell High School campus. Come to Student Services for more information.
Attention Students, If you are interested in a PAID Summer Internship with the IT Department, please see Mrs. Flemister in F116.
Students- if you are planning to participate in Move On When Ready next year- which means you are a rising 10th-12th grader who plans on taking any college courses at Roswell or on the college campus, please come by Student Services to pick up the required paperwork packet. This includes students planning to do College English, Ga Tech math, and any other college courses for high school students. Please see your counselor if you have question.
Applications for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's summer high school program R2LNextGen, are now available online! R2LNextGen is a week-long leadership and civic engagement program for current high school juniors. The program, which takes place July 23-July 28, 2017 in Washington, D.C., is completely FREE of charge to all selected student participants. Visit http://chci.org/programs/r2l_nextgen/atlanta/ for eligibility requirements and to apply. Applications must be submitted by Friday, March 17, 2017.
The school store has a new location! We are now in the auditorium concession area and are open every morning from 7:45-8:15.
Congratulations go out to our Varsity Baseball team on their double header sweep over Sprayberry this weekend. The wins put the Hornets at 8 and 2 on the season. The Hornets are back in action at home tonight versus South Forsyth. Game time is at 5:55 so come out and cheer on your Hornets.
