On Saturday October 14 there will be a mandatory wrestling weight assessment at Blessed Trinity at 11am. All athletes planning on wrestling this season should meet at RHS at 10:30am to ride bus to BT. Please wear t-shirt shorts and tennis shoes, be adequately hydrated and bring $10. We will return immediately after assessment. 

Colleges continue to roll through Roswell! Come talk to reps from App State, Rice, California College of Arts, Georgia College, the University of Alabama and more! Sign up in Student Services. 

Do you want to be in a play? Come audition for "A Wrinkle in Time" presented by the RHS Theatre Troupe. Auditions are Tuesday, October 10 and Thursday, October 12 from 4:15 to 5:45 in the Auditorium. Theatre Troupe and Improv Troupe members, you'll already be there for your regular meetings! All are welcome. You will be asked to do cold reading and some improvisation. More details at auditions. 

Lots of people work out their bodies, but lots of people forget to work out their mind. If you're a freshman or sophomore, there is hope. Come by Mr. Carter's room, D110, on Wednesdays after-school for JV Academic Bowl, and get your mind in shape. 

The Hornet Construction Technology class will be hosting a student/parent night from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm on Tuesday, October 10th beginning in the auditorium. Meet with technical colleges, construction companies, apprenticeship programs, and many others who are ready to employ you. All are welcome to attend! Come see what hire (H.I.R.E.) education is about. 

Seniors - Do you need help with writing your college essays or filling out your application? There will be a College Essay and Application Workshop in Room B107 during the PSAT Test Day, October 11, beginning at 8:20. There is space for 25 students. Please sign up in Student Services by Friday October 6. 

Its National Yearbook Week, and to celebrate your Yearbook staff is having a competition. If you purchase your yearbook from now until Friday night, you will be in the running to win a gift card prize. Three winners will be randomly selected. The October 6th Varsity Football game at Lassiter High School has been scheduled as their annual PINK OUT game to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Research. At this game, the Lassiter student section will be wearing pink t-shirts to raise awareness about Breast Cancer. Lassiter welcomes all Roswell High School students to join them in this campaign by wearing PINK shirts. Additionally, Lassiter wants to partner with Roswell High School students in bringing awareness to suicide prevention. Their Sources of Strength organization at Lassiter High School will be promoting this awareness through the tossing of purple confetti during the first kick-off. Lassiter High School will provide confetti for the student section for Roswell High School. 

The Roswell High School Step Team will be having try-outs this Thursday, October 5th, from 3:45 to 5:00 in PE06. 

Congratulations to softball players Mackenzie Hitchcock and Lia Petramale for being selected to first team All-Region! We are a part of one of the most competitive regions in the state and this is a great honor. 

Attention new and returning members of the Cure Club, the first meeting of the year will take place at 7:45am on Tuesday October 10th in room F-102. Please plan to attend.
