7th Grade Rock Eagle Field Trip Information

Rock Eagle Packing List

We are proud to offer the Autrey Mill seventh grade students an exciting and educational trip to Rock Eagle 4H Center. The Rock Eagle Trip will take place March 5th – March 7th in Eatonton, GA.

We will be leaving from school on March 5th and returning in the afternoon of March 7th.  We will have approximately 25-30 staff chaperones accompanying the students.  We will travel to Rock Eagle in luxury motor coaches.

The cost of the trip is $190.  All students who would like to participate will be given the opportunity to do so, regardless of receipt of payment. We feel all students will benefit from this activity; however, attendance is not required and in no way affects a student's instruction or evaluation. We do reserve the right to cancel this field trip if sufficient money is not available to cover all costs.  Please contact Dr. Mimi Gamel (gamel@fultonschools.org) with any questions or concerns.

Imagine exploring the Eiffel Tower right from your very own desk in French class or experience walking on the moon in your science class. Virtual Reality allows students to explore far off places without ever leaving the classroom.

AMMS Instructional Technology is working to build a Virtual Reality Lab to provide these experiences for all Autrey Mill students. Through your donations, you will be providing our students at AMMS with cutting edge opportunities and preparing our students for the jobs of tomorrow.

The request for Apple iPhone(s) will allow us to build the virtual lab and overcome compatibility restraints. Requesting USED iPhone 6, 6Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, or 7Plus. Apple iOS devices are able to seamlessly work with our system at Autrey MIll. Selecting iPhones offers an optimal experience for students to hone in on the virtual experience through the use of goggles that cannot be accomplished with iPads or laptop devices.
