Pennies For Patients

On Monday, January 12th, Crabapple Middle School started its annual Pennies for Patients fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  The fundraiser will end January 30th.  Last year, CMS raised over $12,000, and we hope to raise even more this year! Your student should have received a donation box that he or she can use to collect donations outside of school.  Each homeroom also has an online donation link that can be used.  Below is the link to the school's donation page.  The school link will also direct you to your child’s individual homeroom link.  The homeroom that raises the most money will receive a lunch from the Olive Garden!  Thank you for your participation and support!

Georgia Surveys - School Climate Star Rating for CCRPI

Georgia provides three surveys that school districts can administer in order to acquire feedback for schools. At least 75% of all students in grades 3-12 must participate in the Georgia Student Health Survey, although parents can opt out for their children. There is also a Georgia School Personnel Survey for school staff and a Georgia Parent Survey as well. All survey responses are anonymous and reported directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. Results are used to inform the School Climate Star Rating as part of the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI).

The Georgia Parent Survey is modeled after the student survey and contains 24 questions. Parents will be able to complete the survey using their personal computers, smartphones or iPads. For parents that do not have access to the Internet, computers will be available in the school media center if they wish to complete the Georgia Parent Survey. The Georgia Parent Survey can be accessed by CLICKING HERE.  The survey will be open until Friday, March 27, 2015.
