Our School Governance Council has a leadership role in the governance of the school. The Council works with the principal in setting the long-term vision and strategy for the school. They are responsible for approving the school's strategic plan and budget recommendations, as well as designing innovative solutions to increase academic achievement and meet the unique needs of our school community.
Elections for the parent/guardian and teacher positions on the School Governance Council will be held March 11th – March 18th. Candidates interested in running for an elected position on the Council must complete a candidate declaration form and submit by February 20th.

HBMS Visitor, Volunteer, and
Check out Procedures
We pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming to everyone who enters our building. But, as much as we try to personally know every person, we have hundreds of students with hundreds of family members. This means we may not always recognize every person who visits our school, so please be patient and understanding if it takes a little more time to determine who you are. Our goal is to account for all visitors/volunteers in our building so that we can maximize safety for students and staff.
- All parents/visitors/volunteers must report to the office upon arrival.
- Be prepared to show your photo ID.
- Parents/visitors/volunteers must be issued a badge from the office prior to entering any location in the building.
- Only the persons listed as "Guardian" can check out a student from school. Emergency contacts or other non-guardians will only be allowed to check out for a true emergency OR with specific consent from a guardian.
Thank you for helping us continue the safe environment we have worked hard to maintain!

It also provides a comprehensive roadmap to help educators, parents and community members promote and improve college and career readiness for all students.
