HMS 6th Grade Band Great Results
The HMS 6th Grade Band competed in the Music in the Parks Festival at Six Flags Over Georgia on Saturday, May 12th, earning a rating of Superior and First Place in their division. James Poinsette and Colynn Vacko accepted the trophy at the awards ceremony.

Media Center Books are Due
All Media Center materials (books, playaways, magazines, etc.) and Reading Novels (Language Arts or Reading Class Novels) are now overdue! Parents, please encourage your students to take care of their Media Center obligations. Thank you for your help.
Checks
Personal checks are no longer accepted for this academic year at Hopewell Middle School. Please plan accordingly for all school related purchases at the end of the year. No exceptions.
Lost and Found Items
Students please stop by the clinic to check the Hopewell Lost and Found for any missing items no later than Tuesday, May 15th. All remaining items will be donated to local charities on Wednesday, May 16th.
Backpack Donation
Hopewell students can once again donate their used backpacks to Atlanta's homeless. Boxes will be located in the front lobby during the last few days of school. Be sure your backpack is empty and you have received permission from your parents to donate it. Feel free to include any socks or toiletries inside the backpack. The bags will be distributed by St. Francis Table to be used by the homeless for their personal belongings.

Medication Alert
All medication left in the clinic after school dismisses on Friday, May 18, 2012 will be disposed of at the end of the day. Please pick up your child's medication!
