Alpharetta High School 9th Transition Activities - Wednesday, Feb. 11th (6-8pm):  Middle School to High School Transition Night for 8th Grade Parents- Course Registration & Scheduling for 2015-2016, Alpharetta High School Auditorium.

Tuesday March 10th (7:30pm) - Alpharetta High School is offering a seminar on "Guiding the College-Bound Athlete". The seminar will be held in the cafeteria.

Hoops for Heart Fundraiser - The PE department is participating in the Hoops for Heart fundraiser again this year. The basketball activities will take place in PE class during our school wide RED OUT week, Feb. 2nd -5th. Here are some ways that students can raise money for the American Heart Association.

  • Raising money online or using their envelopes that they received for the Hoops for Heart event. Money is due to a PE teacher by Thurs. Feb 5th
  • Purchasing a Mustang Strong bracelet for $1. These are sold in the foyer each morning.
  • Purchasing a Red Out t-shirt for $10. These are sold in the foyer each morning.  If students purchase a t-shirt they will be allowed to come to the gym for a 3 vs 3 basketball tournament for one of their Connection classes on Thursday Feb. 5th. If a student already has PE this quarter they get to come for their other Connection class!

During our Red Out week the students will also have an opportunity to participate in “themed days”. Students can pay $1 and will receive a stamp in order to participate.

  • Monday Feb 2nd  will be American Day
  • Tuesday Feb 3rd  will be Camouflage Day
  • Wednesday Feb 4th  will be Pajama Day

Thursday Feb 5th will be wear RED day (Red Out T-shirt if one was purchased)

International Night  Come celebrate the diversity and the cultures that make up our student body here at Hopewell on Thursday, February 12.   Everyone is invited to attend with their families to sample food from around the world and to share a dish that represents their culture.  There will also be a costume contest for the best costume from every region with prizes!  You can pick up an RSVP form in the front office or from any World Language or Social Studies teacher.  RSVPs are due by the end of next week!  English RSVP, Spanish

Yearbooks ONLY $45 - January 31st is the last day to buy the yearbook for $45.  Go to Jostens.com and enter Hopewell Middle School.  The price goes to $50 on February 1.  Buy your yearbook today!

HONK performance (CHS) - Cambridge High School is performing "HONK" on January 29-31 (7pm) and February 1 (2pm).

Peru Trip (Summer of 2016) - Have you already made plans for your child for the summer  of 2016?   If not, check out the 10 day trip to Peru sponsored by Señora Haak.  Students will gain a deeper understanding of the Spanish language as well as cultural and scientific contributions of the Incas.  You can register your child (or even yourself!) online here: www.acis.com/register - enter our ACIS Group ID 231762 and group leader name Haak. Join the Atlanta Hawks for Fulton County Schools Night with the Atlanta Hawks - Each year the Atlanta Hawks offers discounted tickets to employees, students, family and friends as part of “Fulton County Schools Night with the Atlanta Hawks.” The Atlanta Hawks are playing the Orlando Magic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, February 27 at Philips Arena.  Take advantage of special pricing and know that $5 from each ticket will benefit students and faculty of Fulton County Schools as well as the Fulton Education Foundation.  Please visit www.hawks.com/fulton for all of the details and to purchase tickets.
