The second round of Course Verification Forms will be sent home Monday, April 13. Please return them by Friday, April 17th after reviewing to ensure that the information is accurate and what you and your child want. In addition, the Course Placement Waiver is available to request a move into an Advanced course, or take World Language in place of Reading.
New Residency Verification Requirements
The district revised its School Admission Policy for Residence Verification. Families are no longer required to complete an Affidavit of Residence for every year of student enrollment. Proofs of residence must be provided at the following times:
- Initial enrollment into Fulton County Schools
- Entry into Kindergarten, 6th grade, 9th grade
- When there is any address change.
See Registration and Forms for more information and a list of approved documents.
Rising 6th Grade Information
If you are a rising sixth grader, we have lots of information for you and your parents. There is the Connections/World Language Decision Guide, the HMS Rising Sixth Grade Information Booklet, and the RisingMustangs.com website. We also have the slideshow that we showed at Rising Sixth Grade Parent Night. Check out all the resources we've created to help make your transition to Hopewell smooth and successful!
If you haven’t ordered your HMS yearbook, do so ASAP
before we run out. There is no guarantee that yearbooks will be available in May, so
place your order now. We’ve created a memorable book for 6th,
7th and 8th graders alike!
