Our Media Center is a learning environment that functions as the Information Center of the school. It is a central part of the school’s learning community, providing students with resources, activities, and experiences for learning.

The Mission of the Paul D. West Media Program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. The Media Center seeks to provide a safe and innovative learning environment in which students can develop the information literacy skills needed to succeed in an information-rich world.


This mission is accomplished by:

• Providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all available and accessible formats.
• Providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas.
• Collaborating with teachers in designing learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
