The Tau Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is pleased to announce the College Bound Program. Funding for this program is provided by the Twenty Pearls Foundation, the non-profit fundraising arm of the Chapter. The program is open to rising ninth through twelfth grade female and male students. The program will provide the necessary tools for students to transition from high school to college successfully. It will include college tours, financial aid prep, and ACT/SAT workshops. We will include students enrolled in high schools in the East Point and College Park areas. In addition, we will invite students who live in these areas, but may not attend schools in the East Point and College Park communities.

Overview
CEO Kids Atlanta is in its inaugural year, modeled after CEO Kids Washington, DC . It is an opportunity for a small group of middle school students to explore an array of employment options under the supervision of a certified social worker and experienced professionals. Exploration will involve career clusters that are both familiar and thought provoking to students.

This is an interactive and integrated program in which student enhance their math, English, science, and reading skills. Odyssey will take the students on a journey of knowledge through which they will take field trips to Piedmont Park and the High Museum of Art. The Odyssey program can help open new doors of opportunity by sharpening academic skills and putting students in the path to college.

Summer Science Discovery Camp & Academy

Academy I (lower Academy) is a two week session for 9th and 10th grade students. Students must have completed the 8th grade before the first day of their session. This program offers a series of lectures, lab, and field experiences for students. The experiences are designed to heighten students’ interest in science, make them aware of careers requiring a scientific background, and to introduce and/or reinforce principles of science.Students registering for Academy I are required to submit a $100 deposit to secure a space. $475 registration fee
Standard Registration fees must be paid in full by April 15, 2011
Students from the same household will receive a $50 family discount
Deposits will be applied towards the cost of the registration fee
There is a cancellation fee of $50
To register for the Summer Science Academy, parents must submit all registration materials.

Atlanta Street Theatre is offering its unique Summer Program for Teens. In this five-week program, young people ages 13 through College aged have the opportunity to work in a small ensemble to develop theatre skills and talent under the direction of theatre professionals. Our 2011 program begins May 31 and ends on July 1.
