Welcome to Ridgeview Scheduling 101

The scheduling season is upon us and this information is designed to give you some insight into the scheduling process and hopefully answer some of the questions you may have about the scheduling process for rising 6th, 7th and 8th grade students at Ridgeview.

Rising 6th Grade Students

Your child's current 5th grade teachers will use the district placement guidelines to recommend courses for the upcoming school year. Initial placements are based on semester one grades and may change at the end of the year. You will be notified of these recommendations and have the opportunity to ask questions and request adjustments.   Questions and concerns about placement should be addressed to the current elementary school and teachers.

Rising 7th and 8th Grade Students

Your child's current Ridgeview teachers will use the district placement guidelines to recommend courses for the upcoming school year.  Initial placements are based on semester one grades and may change at the end of the year. You will be notified of these recommendations and have the opportunity to ask questions and request adjustments.

Rising 9th Graders

If your student is currently an 8th grader and will be attending Riverwood in the fall of 2019, we recommend that you visit their website to review their scheduling information and requirements.  Our teachers will make recommendations for rising 9th grade students based upon guidance from the scheduling team at Riverwood.
