Ridgeview Charter School offers four world language programs:

French, Japanese, Chinese and Spanish. At the conclusion of the 2-year program, students acquire High School credits in French 1, Japanese 1, Chinese 1 and Spanish 1.

We offer world languages on all grade levels for students who qualify to take a language in place of reading.  World language classes are offered to students who meet the district requirements for placements.  In order to receive high school credit, students must successfully complete the same world language in the 7th and 8th grades.

The program is based on the Fulton County Foreign Language  curriculum. In Chinese, we use Nihao textbook, including textbook and student workbook. In addition, we have cultural/game lessons such as Chinese calligraphy, arts and crafts, Chinese checkers and Chinese Go game. In French, we use the Discovering French Program which includes textbooks, activity books, video-based activities and CD-Rom.  In Japanese, we use the Obentoo Program which includes texbooks and activity books.  In Spanish, we use the En Espagnol Program which includes textbooks, activity books and video activities.  We also offer a Spanish for native speakers class designed to develop reading and writing skills for Hispanic students. Methods of learning include class participation, language-lab activities, video-based activities, technology projects, role-playing, and written assignments.

Ridgeview Charter School offers a comprehensive World Language Program designed to meet the needs of our diverse student population.
