|Academic Bowl Team|
The RTMS Academic Bowl Team competes at the highest level of state competition. The team enters about five Saturday competitions across the metro area and a county championship. Students should check with their coach for meeting times and days.

To educate people more than they already are and to preserve the wilderness
Students gain the skills to enhance thinking and learn sportsmanship through chess. Practice and preparation for tournament play is also emphasized.
Students can learn about and experience chinese yo-yo.
|Conservation Conversation |
To save trees, plant trees, recycle, pick up trash around the school, and make people aware.
Students will prepare simple food dishes while practicing food safety, kitchen safety, range top cooking, and baking.

Open to 6th graders who want to learn more about topics covered in their Social Studies class. The students will watch movies deemed appropriate for the curriculum being taught.

A club for students of all nationalities to get together and share cultures and experiences.

Junior Beta is a national organization founded on the principles of service, academics, leadership, and character. In order to qualify for membership, students must maintain a 90 average and have satisfactory conduct. Qualified 7th and 8th graders may join in the fall and 6th graders in the spring. Betas are asked to provide a minimum of 10 hours of community service each semester.

Science Olympiad ia a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving science education, increasing student interest in science, creating a technologically literate workforce, and providing recognition for outstanding achievement by students and teachers.
Students will learn to play Scrabble, which requires strategy, imagination, and math!
