8th Grade Event Dates
• Medieval Times Field Trip – Friday, April 27th from 9am-3:30pm
• 8th Grade Dance- Friday, May 4th 6:00pm-8:00pm Cafeteria
• 8th Grade Picnic-Friday, May 11th 10:30am-2:30pm Sandtown Park
• 8th Grade Awards Ceremony- Thursday, May 17th 9:30am-12:00pm Westlake High School
Field Trip Attire/Rules
- Black Shirts w/ Slacks or Jeans
- Report to the cafeteria at 8:45am (Please report to 2nd period before coming)
- Lunch will be provided
Dance Attire/Rules
-NO LIMOUSINES WILL BE ALLOWED.
-Attire – Students’ outfits are to be semi-formal in nature. This includes gracefully stylish dresses or suits for young ladies. A well dressed young man may wear a suit or slacks with a dress shirt – jackets and ties are optional. Tuxedos, floor length gowns, halters, and/or strapless gowns are NOT allowed. No inappropriately exposed skin, no excessive makeup, no evening gowns, or tuxedos. All in all, attire choices should be in accordance with school dress code policy. These attire rules will be strictly adhered to and enforced (Appropriate dress will be determined by an administrator). Any student not in compliance will be sent home and/or not permitted to enter the dance.
Picnic Attire/Rules
- 8th Grade T-Shirt will be provided. No shorts greater than 3 inches above the knee
- Please do not bring water guns or balloons
- Students will be using portable restrooms and will not be able to enter the building until 2:30pm
Awards Ceremony Attire/Rules
- Students should wear White Tops and Black Bottoms (Dressy Attire). No inappropriately exposed skin, no excessive makeup, no evening gowns, or tuxedos.
- Students should report to the Westlake Gym at 8:45am
- Please notify Ms. Morgan (Room E-110), morgans1@fultonschools.org if your student needs transportation to the awards ceremony.
Sandtown Student Services Information
Student services will register new students daily from 8:00 am – 12:00 noon only. After 12:00 noon, we will continue to assist parents with withdrawal requests and other student record requests.
