Summer School-1.jpgSummer School Registration

Summer School registration is taking place this week.  Students who failed a course and/or received an Incomplete in language arts, math, science, or social studies are expected to attend summer school to recover the course and/or clear the Incomplete.  Please see below for more details regarding summer school options.

Course Recovery

If your child received a failure notification, they have the opportunity to recover the course by attending virtual summer school from June 3rd to July 15th.  Virtual summer school is hosted by Fulton Virtual School and is completed at home over the 6-week period.  To register for the virtual session, please visit https://fulton.geniussis.com and complete registration by Friday, May 29, 2020.  If you have questions regarding Fulton Virtual School, please contact them directly at virtualcampus@fultonschools.org or 470-254-6578.

Incomplete Notification

If your child received an Incomplete notification, there will be two available sessions for students to choose from. They have the option of attending the virtual session from June 3rd to July 15th or the blended session at Sandtown MS from July 7th – 31st.  If students opt to attend the virtual session, please register with Fulton Virtual School using the information above.  If the blended session is selected, please complete the registration form and email it to Sylvette Bagayoko at Bagayoko@fultonschools.org.  If you are unable to email, please drop the registration form off in the Summer School Registration Drop Box located at the front entrance of the school building.

What is a Fulton County Schools Volunteer?

  • A school volunteer is a non-paid person who serves in an auxiliary capacity under the direction and supervision of school personnel. A volunteer is one who performs duties that an employee could perform such as making copies, filing, sorting, escorting students, assisting with lunch duty media center or front office tasks. Any person who leads or assists students (other than their own student) in programs or tutors a student(s) is considered a volunteer.

The process for volunteering takes about 30 minutes total and includes about 20 minutes of online mandatory child abuse reporting training required by the State of Georgia for all volunteers.
