Our administration offices will be moving to Abbotts Hill Elementary School on June 1, 2015.  Our building will be closed for the summer.  Please stop by our Abbotts Hill office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and Noon if you need assistance.  We will not be able to bring all of our records to our summer location so please call (770-740-7090) ahead and make sure that we will be able to provide the assistance that you need.  We recommend that you see Mrs. Santowski, who is located in the counseling office, before May 27, 2015 if you will need student records over the summer.  Please also note that GMAP scores will not be ready to send out until this fall.  We will keep you posted.

The elections results are in and I am pleased to announce the new parent and teacher representatives who will serve on our School Governance Council.  Please join me in congratulating these new Council members who will help guide our school over the next two years:

Parent/Guardian Representative Jacques Johnson
Teacher Representative Tracy Altherr

I also want to thank all of you who ran for a position on the School Governance Council. Your willingness to lead is a testament to the strength of our school community.

Our newly elected Parents/Guardians and Teacher will be joined by new representatives from our school and community over the next few months.  I have the honor of appointing one school employee and I will nominate one community representative to be approved by the remainder of the Council.  All new Council members will participate in training and transition into their positions in July.

Please stay tuned to our website for updates on the Council.

Mr. Ed. Williamson

If you have medications (prescription or non-prescription) for your child in the clinic, please make arrangements to pick it up from the clinic by the last day of school, May 22, 2015. We cannot hold medications from year to year.

On the clinic blog, you will find a blank Authorization to Give Medication form for you to properly complete for any prescription or non-prescription medications needed for your child in the 2015-16 school year. Remember, all prescription medications require a doctor's signature before they can be dispensed in the clinic.  Over-the-counter medications require a parent signature before the medication can be dispensed in the clinic. Fulton County Schools policy requires that new forms be completed every school year for their child.

If your child has a medical condition that needs to be addressed while at school, it is important that you and your doctor complete a new Health Plan each school year to help us meet your child's medical needs at school. This completed health plan, as well as any health supplies, will be necessary prior to the first day of school. Please see the clinic blog for a blank Health Care Plan for your child:

___ Asthma

___ Diabetes

___ Allergies/Anaphylaxis

___ Seizures

___ Sickle Cell Disease

___ Individual Health Plan (for other illnesses)

If your child will be going to a different Fulton County School next year, please contact Rose Moro, RN, Fulton County Schools Cluster Nurse at 404-401-5545 or at moro@fultonschools.org. Ms. Moro can give you contact information for the Cluster Nurse at your child's new school. Ms. Moro is available by phone until May 30, 2015 and intermittently checks email over the summer.

Please make sure that the clinic has current emergency phone numbers for you prior to the start of the 2015-16 school year. Current and updated phone numbers ensures that we can reach you in case of an emergency.  We look forward to working together to assure a healthy school year for your child.

Thank you for your attention to this matter,

Tracy Morris, Clinic Assistant (morristracy@fultonschools.org)
