Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an approach to
teaching and supporting positive behaviors and meeting the needs of ALL students.
This school-wide approach to discipline
focuses on building a safe and positive environment in which all students
can learn.

In addition to our behavior expectations, PBIS has other components:

1) TigerPAWS behavior matrix which explains behavior expectations in each school setting;

2) Teach/Model/Practice framework;

3) ClassDojo points;

4) Tiger Turn up to recognize students who meet monthly goals schoolwide;

5) Weekly classroom recognition and incentives.

The foundation of PBIS at College Park Elementary School is the four building-wide expectations

  • Positive Attitude

  • Act Responsibly

  • Work with Integrity

  • Successful
